Tell us about your kind of music
For me, rock is the basement, pop is the middle floor and the attic is filled with modern elements and though provoking lyrics. I love all three equally.
When was it that you realised that your calling lies in musicIJ
It happened when I was nine-years-old, in Spain together with my family while I was horse back riding. I started to think through all kinds of options for what I would become when I grew up. When singing and acting crossed my mind, I just knew it would be one of them and a few years later I took my first singing lesson.
How did You Should Get Over Me happenIJ
It was the first song I ever wrote together with a man from a Hard Rock Band that I randomly bumped into. That was the key to the rock/pop door for me. And since then there has been looking back.
How is your kind of spontaneous music received in your countryIJ
So far I’ve got a good and positive response even though I don’t sing in Finnish like most artists from Finland do. I hope to keep it up!
Are you excited about performing in IndiaIJ How are you preparing ahead of the concertIJ
Of course! I feel so lucky to get an opportunity like this and very thankful to Hard Rock Cafe and Times Music for making this happen! Most of the preparation happened back in Finland but during my stay in India I prepare by waking up a bit earlier in the morning to do yoga and if I’m tensed or tired my bass player gives me acupuncture.
Tell us a little about yourself. What drives you to compose such songsIJ
In a nutshell, one part of me is an adventure thirsty adrenaline junkie while the other part loves to be in nature, meditate and create. When I write songs it can start with anything from a word, a person, a situation to a set idea, a strong thought or opinion.
What are the typical challenges you facedIJ
The biggest challenge is when melody is already set and we try to get the rhymes, in tune.
