Miley Offered $1 Mn Porn Deal To Direct Adult Flick

An adult film company is offering Miley Cyrus a million-dollar porn deal to get behind the camera and direct a XXX flick. Gamelink, an online adult store founded in 1993 that dubs itself one of the “leading international online retailers of adult entertainment,” wants Cyrus to direct a porn flick for a cool $1 million. The company called her an “empowered” and “unapologetic” woman, who could use this opportunity to really show the world she’s “not a little girl anymore.”

This isn’t the first time the pop star has been offered a gig in the adult industry. last year, after Cyrus filmed the music video for DJ Borgore’s Decisions featuring porn star Jessie Andrews, Sex.com offered to compensate her “extremely” well if she agreed to film a softcore girl-on-girl make-out session with Andrews. She didn’t bite. (Huffington Post)

Judge Tells Man He’s Still Dead

An Ohio man is finding out there’s no easy way to come back from the dead. Donald Miller Jr went to court last week to ask a county judge to reverse a 1994 ruling that declared him legally dead after he had disappeared from his home eight years earlier. But the judge turned down his request, citing a three-year time limit for changing a death ruling.

Hancock County Probate Court Judge Allan Davis called it a “strange, strange situation.”“We’ve got the obvious here. A man sitting in the courtroom, he appears to be in good health,” said Davis, who told Miller the three-year limit was clear. “I don’t know where that leaves you, but you’re still deceased as far as the law is concerned,” the judge said. Cockroaches Have their Neighborhoods, Finds Study A study finds that cockroaches in certain city neighborhoods share the same genetic makeup — and they differ from roaches in their neighbouring hoods.

“In the New York City neighbourhoods where we’ve looked in detail-the Upper West Side, the Upper East Side, and Roosevelt Island-the genetic types are quite different,” Mark Stoeckle, an infectious-disease specialist and researcher for the project, told National Geographic.

“The diversity was a surprise to us, and the fact that they’re not just all mixed together-it’s not a random assortment.” He added, “They must be staying close to home, and they have their own neighborhoods.” He says the genetic diversity — and roaches’ tendency to stay put — shows us there’s a lot more diversity in cockroaches than we may realise.

The project allows New Yorkers to submit dead cockroach specimens in a process called barcoding. Researchers analyze the dead roach’s DNA and cross reference that data with its location information. The result has become a family tree of roaches, and it proves that there’s a whole lot less gentrification going on among roaches than in the human world.

Mexican woman forced to wear chastity belt for 12 years

For 12 years, a man reportedly locked his girlfriend’s pants shut with a “chastity belt” each morning in fear that she would be unfaithful. The woman, 25, from Zacatlame, a poverty-stricken community in Veracruz, Mexico, finally told police about her plight when she desperately needed to use the toilet but was too afraid to cut her pants open.

The woman, who had been living with her older boyfriend, José Antonio, 40, since the age of 13, told police that she was in fear of him. Police then arrested Antonio and he admitted to putting a padlock on the woman’s pants and gave officers the key to release it.

“To the surprise of the authorities, the woman refused to press charges once the man was detained,” said Araceli Gonzalez, executive director of the Equifonia, a women’s rights group.

Rabbis Kidnap to Gain Divorces

It sounds like the premise of a bad movie or a worse joke: A Jewish husband won’t agree to a divorce, so a couple of tough rabbis make him an offer he can’t refuse. FBI agents arrested two rabbis and accused them of plotting to kidnap and torture a man in order to force him to agree to a religious divorce. Trouble is, their female client was actually an undercover agent. “Basically what we are going to be doing is kidnapping a guy for a couple of hours and beating him up and torturing him, and then getting him to” agree to the divorce, one of the men says on tape.

The fee of about $60,000 included the use of electric cattle prods and other techniques that wouldn’t leave mark. It’s not clear whether the men have actually carried out any such kidnappings, though they boasted to their would-be client that they did so about every 18 months. Why would their services be necessaryIJ Because in many Orthodox communities, a divorce can take place only when the husband agrees. (Newser)
