In yet another murder reported in the national Capital, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants in Sadar Bazar area of North Delhi. The incident reportedly took place in the wee hours of Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Idu, a resident of Bihar. He was living in Delhi with his relatives and did random jobs to earn living. Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and have registered a case of murder and investigations are on. However, no arrest has been made as yet.

According to a senior police official of the North district, the incident took place around 1.15 am when the victim had gone to a water cooler installed close to his residence where he was stabbed. It is not clear that what was the reason behind this fatal attack on him and who carried it out. An empty water bottle was found lying close to his body,” said a police official.

Police suspect that the boy was killed over some dispute that may have taken place while he was filling up water. He was attacked by the unidentified person who resented his presence near the water tap. It was a possibility, said a police official adding that the motive of the murder was yet to be established. The examination of the scene of crime revealed that he was attacked by more than one person. Personal enmity could be the reason behind the attack but it is still too early to say that what was the reason behind the murder. We have registered a case of murder at Sadar Bazar police station and further investigations are on,” the official said.
