When I went out there to bat, I remembered the old times when I batted with him and I realised nothing had changed. It was exactly the same batting with Jacques again and I could feel that same comfort level. We had a lot of partnerships together with RCB and we know each other’s games well
Manish Pandey on his 131-run stand with Jacques Kallis against MI
Had a good few months off. It’s nice to catch up with friends and family, but I worked hard on my cricket to help Kolkata this season. There was more bounce this season which suited. Kept the good balls out at the start and cashed it in the death
Jacques Kallis on his 72-run knock against Mumbai Indians
We let Jacques Kallis and Manish Pandey build a very large partnership and then they had a couple of really big overs. What really cost us the game was the catch I dropped of Kallis when he was on 34
lasith Malinga Mumbai Indians’ bowler
We’ve got a very good bowling attack and if we put runs on the board most of the times we’ll end up winning
Gautam Gambhir, KKR skipper
It’s disappointing. lots to learn from this game. We’ll take the positives from this game, although there weren’t many. I hope the guys stay positive. It’s a long tournament
Rohit Sharma, MI skipper
