Verma writes to ICC's ethics officer against Srini

Unrecognised Cricket Association of Bihar secretary Aditya Verma today shot off another letter to the ICC, drawing its attention to "violation of ethics by the apex body and N Srinivasan", who had stepped aside as BCCI president as per the Supreme Court's directive.

Verma wrote the letter to ICC's ethics officer. "I want to draw your kind attention against violation of code of ethics by ICC and president of BCCI Mr. N Srinivasan. I have already sent three letters to ICC officials regarding the honourable Supreme Court of India's 28.3.14 order. The highest court of India has stopped Srinivasan from discharging his duties as BCCI president," Verma wrote in the letter.

The Supreme Court had forced Srinivasan to be sidelined from BCCI affairs but did not stop him from attending the ICC meet on April 9 and 10. Verma has strongly objected to the move and said that game's top body should act tough on the Tamil Nadu strongman. "Due to influence of Srinivasan all ICC officials have failed to take any decision. If this is the way ICC works, then the world will lose faith in the apex body. I am requesting you to intervene in the issue and take legal opinion of ICC council and save the game," he added.

Abdi condemns IPl final shift

Jaipur: The deputy president of the suspended Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) and lalit Modi's lawyer Mahmood Abdi on Monday strongly condemned the IPl Governing Council's decision to shift IPl final from Mumbai to Bangalore terming it as N Srinivasan faction's handiwork.

In a press release, Abdi "urged all member states of the BCCI to rise against the unlawful, immoral and anti-cricket activities of N Srinivasan and his cronies, who are running the BCCI and IPl as their personal fiefdom".

"Taking away of the IPl final match from Mumbai is condemnable in severest possible terms because a permanent cricket center like Mumbai has been denied of its conventional right to host  the IPl final, that too without assigning any reason for such a drastic step," Abdi was said.

"Mumbai being a pioneering cricket city which not just produced legendary cricketers but has classic cricket loving population which Srini and his cronies have sought to deprive of their traditional right to witness the game," Abdi added.

IPl GC to decide on MCA letter today

Mumbai: The IPl Governing Council will take a final call on Monday with regards to the protest letter it has received from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) against the shifting of the final from Wankhede Stadium to M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. "We had a managing committee meeting today and the members were apprised of the media release put out by the BCCI about the shifting of the final to Bangalore. Mr Sunil Gavaskar (interim president of BCCI on IPl matters) has told us that they will discuss the letter and come back to us with their ruling tomorrow. We are hopeful it will be in favour of MCA," said Ravi Savant, vice president of MCA who chaired Monday's managing committee meeting.
