One of the major concerns about the health of the athletes in Rio Games is the Zika virus and to tackle it the International Olympics Committee (IOC) has passed some precautions and guidelines to Indian Olympic Association for the teams to follow to prevent themselves from the virus.

“We are concerned about Zika virus but we are taking every possible precaution for the Indian contingent that will travel to Rio,” he added.

Gupta also said that he has huge expectations on the likes of badminton ace Saina Nehwal to do well. “We are hopeful of doubling our medal tally this year. We have lots of hopes from Saina Nehwal in badminton, Jitu Rai in shooting, Vikash Krishan in boxing,” he said.

When the question regarding the complaint about the Indian food not available at the Olympics to the players was put up he claimed that this time Indian food will be available to the players and soon the menu for that will also be available.
