Indian captain Virat Kohli believes he might have 8-10 years of cricket left in him if he can maintain this level of training. Hence, he tries to make the most of everyday to be able to keep up with that level.

On being asked to advice the youngsters on his secret for maintaining the motivation to keep playing at this level, the Indian batting sensation said it is an individual one and everyone should not restrict themselves and keep pushing themselves to the limit.

"There is no secret to raising the bar every day. lot of us doesn't know how far we can push, how much we can do. We limit ourselves even before we try. Most of the people stop at 70 per cent. Therefore we need to push until we are done," he said on the sidelines of the launch of RP-SG Indian sports honours. "That's what I try to do. I may have 8-10 years in my cricket life if I train hard. You have to make the most of every day that you have. That's the attitude with which I carry on every day's work. Small things matter to me. What I eat, how I train etc," said the 28-year-old.

"India has made rapid strides as a sporting nation. The days of being a one-sport country are behind us. The time is just right to introduce an institution that will recognise and reward our top sporting achievers and put the spotlight on those who are expected to do the country proud in the years to come," said Kohli, who has scored 4658 runs in 60 Tests and 8587 runs in 194 ODIs.
