Mumbai Indians
Prediction: Play-offs
Mumbai Indians will be eager to put behind the disappointment of last season when they failed to even reach the playoffs.
Despite their disappointing run last time, the two-time champions will start as one of the favourites to win the coveted trophy this time around. They have a strong overall unit covering all the bases. R Sharma, Kieron Pollard and Jos Buttler being the team's marquee names in the batting unit.
led by bowling sensation lasith Malinga, the Mumbai outfit also have a formidable bowling line-up which includes Jasprit Bumrah, Harbhajan Singh and Hardik Pandya. The addition of Mitchell Johnson, former Australian pacer, makes their bowling unit only stronger.
