Rohan Bopanna is not looking too much into the future as he is primarily focused on maintaining his top-10 ranking.

With speculation on Sania Mirza's partner in the mixed doubles category for the Rio Olympics is growing every day, Bopanna  one of the top contender  for the spot is not thinking too much about it.

"I will play all the big tournaments there are on the calendar before Rio, starting from Dubai to Indian Wells, Monte Carlo, Rome, French Open. The aim is to be in the top-10 till the French Open and we will see who can partner who, be it doubles or mixed doubles. So there is a long way to go before Rio," said Bopanna during the launch of Zeven sports brand here on Friday.

Despite, veteran tennis star leander Paes has already stated his intention to partner Sania in the summer Olympics, Bopanna said a lot of scenarios can play out before the Rio Games in August.

The qualification for Rio will depend on the rankings published on June six, while the French Open will be played from May 16 to June five.

Bopanna said it is impossible to predict his partner as of now. "There are lot of scenarios before the Olympics. And you have to remember you have to qualify for either men's singles or men's doubles to even go to Rio. So as I said long way to go," he added.

The Bengaluru player also said the pivotal part of fitness is about discipline. "Main part of fitness is about discipline. It's about getting early and going to gym. If you have to be the best you have to motivate yourself," he said.

"Right now the only way to move forward and compete at highest level is being 100 percent fit."

Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, who was also present in the event, on Friday supported the Union Government's move to hoist national flag on the campuses of all 46 Central Universities in order to instill nationalism and pride in students.

"My take is simple. It (flag) should be unfurled at the Universities. It (flag) is the pride of the nation. The more the merrier I would say. Though you have touched upon a sensitive topic, one should never say anything ill about the country you live in," he said.

Dhawan comments came after he was asked about the sensitive topic in the wake of arrest of JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar on sedition charges, leading to a massive controversy.

"I was watching kabaddi last night and I subconsciously stood up while the national anthem was played. I play for the flag, playing for the country is the biggest honour for me. As citizens, we should take responsibility of our actions," he added.

On the upcoming Asia Cup and World T20, Dhawan said he and his team are fit and are ready for both the assignments.

On the importance of fitness, he said: "Fitness is more important now. Now talking about cricket, it is more of power and fast game because of T20. Our team is quite fit in both gym and field."

"So I feel all the players are fit and looking forward to the coming tournaments," he added.

Boxing sensation Mary Kom, Mahesh Bhupathi, Co-founder of ZEVEN, Hemchandra Javeri, Chairman and Co-founder of ZEVEN were among the others present.
