England will look to get their World Cup campaign back in order after being humbled by both hosts in their first two matches. After losing to Australia by 111-runs, England were bashed by New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum and Tim Southee in a humbling at Wellington. Now up against neighbours Scotland, England have a chance to make things right.
However, based on Scotland’s first impression, it won’t be easy. The minnows pushed New Zealand and gave them a scare but in the end, Kiwis made their experience count. Richie Berrington and Matt Machan scored half tons while Iain Wardlaw and Josh Davey picked up three wickets each.
England would hope for the batting to click especially Eoin Morgan who will be under immense pressure both as a captain and as a batsman having scored only 19 runs in the last five innings.
