T20 has changed cricket: sachin
New Delhi: Sachin Tendulkar played just one Twenty20 International in his over two-decade long career but the iconic Indian batsman says there is no denying that the format has completely changed the way cricket is played, especially batting. “T20 has changed the dynamics of cricket, the way it is played. For example, nobody thought that batters could play reverse sweeps off fast bowlers to short third-man stands. It has changed cricket big time,” Tendulkar said. “Spectators also enjoy watching T20. I believe it is a lighter format for someone who is not familiar with the game. It is the right dosage of cricket and excitement. The matches are fought to the finish and the results are close. It throws up different intensity altogether for three hours at a stretch,” he added.
Kohli has same aura as srt: lee
canberra: Australian pace legend Brett lee on Wednesday heaped accolades on Virat Kohli, describing the swashbuckling Indian batsman as a legend whose aura is comparable to the iconic Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli on Wednesday notched up his second successive hundred, a 92-ball 106-run innings studded with 11 fours and a six, in the fourth and penultimate ODI against Australia and lee doffed his hat to the Indian Test captain. “Hats off to Virat Kohli. He is a legend. Where do you bowl to the great man, it is almost like Sachin Tendulkar when he used to come out to bat. He had that presence and Kohli too has that aura around him,” lee said.
