This one takes the audience to the Maine Pya Kiya days. The girl is from the village — innocent, naive and dotes on her big brother. The boy is from Australia — crazy and wacky. When the two meet there are a few laugh moments. Then the inevitable happens — they fall in love. And pyar ka dushman zamana has a shart — to work on the farm and produced more grain than the girl’s brother.
Of course, no guesses who wins. The lead pair has done their bit though Shruti Haasan needs to work on her acting skills. Even though Vinod Khanna is wasted in the movie, Randhir Kapoor manages to hold his ground. However, the bags under his eyes are too prominent to go unnoticed.
The 70 mm canvas has splashes of colour and funny one-liners that tickle the funny bone once in a while making this one watchable.
