Rawail's heavenly exit

SANGEETA YADAV

He is the producer of Bollywood blockbusters like Ready & is known for his role as Tsunami Singh in Bodyguard. Rajat Rawail was eliminated from the Bigg Boss House. He tells SANGEETA YADAV that his stay in jannat was not an easy one. Excerpts

What made you say yes to Bigg BossIJ

Saying no to Bigg Boss was not possible for me as it’s itself an institution of entertainment. I’ve seen its previous seasons and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I entered the house with an attitude that my stay will be my three-month vacation before my big project — Kaalia — goes on the floor.

What was your strategy for this showIJ

Entertainment and masti was my modus operandi. But my health took a toll. I just couldn’t volunteer in any of the household work. I couldn’t sleep properly and wasn’t able to digest food. I did try to control my food intake as there was limited food — I eat six rotis but in the House I was having only two. This is one of the reasons why I was unwell.

Tell us about the housematesIJ

Everybody is very caring and nice. When janaatwallahs got to know that the nominated people could be sent to the other side, they didn’t take my name because they knew that I wouldn’t be able to sit on the Indian style bathroom and willn’t be able to sleep on the floor.  But the inmates understood me and my problems. They took care of me like a family member. It was very touching. When I was inside the House, I missed my family especially my eight-year-old daughter, Gehna. Now that I’m out, I’ll follow my Bigg Boss family on TV.
