For some strange reason, Bollywood thinks that making films where the husband is cheating on his wife and getting away with it is funny. One wonders what the reaction will be if the joke is on the men and a film is made where the woman cheats and gets away with a lot of laughs.
But, of course, director Amrit Sagar is of the opinion that the series of twists and turns that follow when the man is seeing another woman on the sly is funny. Apparently, he is the only one. For Rabba Main Kya Karoon is anything but funny.
From the start, where the debut actor Aakash takes off his T-shirt, the film is all about lessons in how ‘to lead a happy life, you must cheat on your wife’. How there a bhaichara among men and the rules they follow.
With endless uncles (Tinnu Anand, Paresh Rawal, and Shakti Kapoor) who have their own cheating mantra, the movie has nothing to offer.
The lead pair try to emote but fail miserably. The only silver lining in this cloud is Arshad Warsi. —
