How was your journey on Chhote Miyan DhakadIJ

It was very good. Initially, it was very formal and serious but later we started enjoying the show and it was fun to perform different skits. Then the competition became tough. I had never thought that I could make it to the finals and when I was declared winner, it was unbelievable.

How difficult is it to do live comedyIJ

It was difficult initially but I got a hang of it through rigorous practise, watching videos and doing mimicry all the time. I had mentors who helped me in performing better.

What were some of your best moment on the showIJ

The best moment was when I was declared one of the finalists.

Who was the toughest competitorIJ

Manav Khyali and Keyan Gadia  were my toughest competitors as their acts used to be very good and were liked by all.

After winning India’s best Dramebaaz, did you think of doing another talent hunt showIJ

I never thought I would. After winning Dramebaaz, I got a lot of opportunities like shooting for Asian Paints and Filpkart commercials. But when Chhote Miyan Dhakad came up, I thought it would be good to give it a shot.

Did India’s best Dramebaaz help you to win Chhote Miyan Dhakad in any wayIJ

Dramebaaz was my first show hence I was quite nervous initially but when I got the performer of the week, my confidence level became high and I started enjoying acting. Things like dialogue delivery, voice modulation and stage presence helped me in this show.

Who is your inspiration behind getting into acting and comedyIJ

My father who does mimicry and likes to watch Bollywood comedies. I also learnt from films and I love to sing and dance too.

How do you manage your studies and the show togetherIJ

My school is very supportive. For four months, I have been staying in Mumbai. When I went back to ludhiana, I gave my exams late. My teachers and friends helped me in my homework and cover all that I had missed out on.
