Overnight YouTube singing sensation Dhinchak Pooja has entered the Bigg Boss House as a wildcard entrant. Before stepping in, she talked to Sangeeta Yadav about her take on Salman Khan and Bigg Boss inmates. Excerpts of the interview:
What prompted you into Bigg Boss 11IJ
It is a big opportunity for me to connect with my fans who would know how Dhinchak Pooja is in real life. When I got the offer, I thought a lot about it and only then did I tell my parents that I was going to the Bigg Boss House. After a lot of discussions, they said, ‘apki yatra safal rahe’. My parents never stop me from doing anything. They always ask me to take care of myself and do as I wish. If we have to achieve something in life, we have to keep trying and taking risks.
How did singing happenIJ
It all started two years ago. I was randomly singing and composing lyrics when a friend suggested that I make my singing video. Whatever I knew, I used that in making my first video Daaru Daaru. I didn’t invest much money in it thinking it might not work. But after it went viral, there was no looking back. The kind of response it got was funny but I did not fear getting trolled. We make many plans but only a few get fulfilled. So, I don’t plan. If I feel like doing anything, I just follow my heart and do it and leave the rest to fate.
Will we get to see you sing in the Bigg Boss HouseIJ
I am not thinking too much about what I will do on the show. I am just going to be spontaneous and deal with the situation as it comes to me.
What do you think about SalmanIJ
He is a superstar and I am very excited about meeting him. He is one of my favourite actors and I have seen all his films.
What are your views on the inmates of Bigg Boss 11IJ
I never judge anyone. I believe no matter how much you pretend, your true self comes out one day. If you are projected as a good or a bad person, there is a reason to it and the situation might have made you like that.
What will you be carrying in your suitcaseIJ
I have a lot of clothes and make-up in my suitcase. Carrying family photographs would remind of them a lot so I am not taking them along. All my family memories are stored in my heart and will always be there.
All the household work is supposed to be done by the inmates. Is there any chore you would not like to doIJ
No work is big or small and one should never restrict oneself from doing anything. I’ve never done household work in my life. I don’t have a habit of it. If somebody will give me a chore, I’ll surely try to do it.
Did you watch the previous season of Bigg BossIJ
I have seen two-three seasons but nowadays I am so occupied that I don’t get a chance to see the show. Staying in the Bigg Boss House will be a different experience altogether. I always wished to go to the Bigg Boss House but never could fathom how and when. I never thought that that day will come so soon.
What will you do in your free time in the HouseIJ
I will meditate, gym and socialise with other inmates.
If you get into any fight, how will you deal with itIJ
I will refrain from getting into fights with any inmate. I will make sure I don’t offend anyone and if I get offended by other’s action, I will forgive them. This doesn’t affect me that much.
Would you like to work for other TV showsIJ
I would love to work on TV but it all depends on what kind of show it is, what would be my role in it and if I would be able to do justice to it or not. I can do everything.
