SANGEETA YADAV

From the Haryanvi singing sensation Sapna Choudhary and TV's favourite beta Hiten Tejwani, to Splitsvilla X winner Priyank Sharma and Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar’s son-in-law Zubair Khan, Bigg Boss 11 has a mixed bag of interesting celebrities and commoners to rule the roost from today. Sangeeta Yadav speaks to some to bring you a report

Name: Zubair Khan

Claim to fame: Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar’s son-in-law and director of Ghost Stories

“I’m going to the Bigg Boss house with a message and an aim to connect to my children Maria (11) and Mekail (8) who I have not been allowed to meet from past 20 months by my in-laws because of the marital dispute. The cops refused to file my complaint and take any action. Through Bigg Boss, I want to reach out to their home and many others to tell my story. I’m ready to become a clown for my children and want to make them happy through humour. I want to give a message to the public as well. A conflict between a husband and wife should not result in one parent not being able to meet his/her children. I will have only one request to the Bigg Boss — please let me meet my children once. I am not doing this to gain sympathy but bringing up an issue which is prevalent in many families. I have ed my career for this. I have put my upcoming film Ghost Stories on hold.

Name: Priyank Sharma

Claim to fame: Choreographer, dancer, actor and winner of Splitsvilla X

“I started my career with Roadies and Splitsvilla X and Bigg Boss 11 is yet another great opportunity for me to experience and learn something new. It is different from any other reality show. I have decided that I’m going to be myself on the show. I will stay positive and humble. You will see me dancing and working out. I will roam around shirtless as I like to flaunt my abs. I have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and like everything to be perfect and well organised. But I am ready to become kaam wali bai.”

Name:  Sapna Choudhary

Claim to fame: Popular Haryanvi singer and dancer

“Bigg Boss is very different. I like the show. When I told my mother that I am going to participate in the show, she said: ‘Meri laash ke upaar se jaana. My mother worries a lot about me . This is because I seldom go out of the house in my village. But I managed to convince her to let me go. I will give my 110 per cent to the tasks that I am given. It doesn’t matter if I win or lose. I am sure it will be a good learning experience.”

Name: Hiten Tejwani

Claim to fame: TV actor

“Bigg Boss is a show that tests your mental and physical endurance. I’m excited to do the tasks that will be thrown to us but if I will be asked to shave off my head, I will not like to do it. It also depends on the task if it is worth taking such a big step or not. I don’t know how to cook but I am sure once I will be out of the House, I will know how to cook. Staying away from my wife Gauri and children will be tough but with their support, I will pass this time.”
