Ram lakhan to air on TV
Zee Classic, with its proposition ‘Woh Zamaana Kare Deewana’, will air this enticing drama of Ram lakhan Today, March 4, 2018. Produced and Directed by Subhash Ghai, Ram lakhan has an ensemble cast comprising of Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Rakhee, Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia, Amrish Puri and Anupam Kher.
Ram lakhan is the story of two brothers, Ram (Jackie Shroff), a moral police officer, and precocious slacker lakhan (Anil Kapoor) who must put their differences aside and join hands to avenge the death of their father at the hands of his evil cousins, as well as restore the honour of their mother Sharda (Rakhee). Married to a Thakur Pratap Singh (Dalip Tahil), Sharda (Rakhee) has a happy family with two loving sons, where the older one is adopted. Their paradise is eyed upon by his cousins Bhishamber (Amrish Puri) and Bhanu (Paresh Rawal). They kill Pratap’s father after making him sign a will, on the sly. Furthermore, they kill Pratap, right before Sharda’s eyes, who then pledges to avenge her husband’s death.

Tango with Tannaz
Actor Bakhtiyaar Irani, who was last seen in Badi Door Se Aayein Hain and is now part of Khichdi Returns, is also part of Tango with Tannaz. The actor says that he is involved 100 per cent with the show. “My involvement is as a producer, actor, spot boy. I have also directed two episodes and handled the production,” he says, adding, “Tango with Tannaz is a roller coaster ride for us. When we just think one episode is the best, we get another celeb giving us better content.”
The show is being produced under Frog lehrein and 2 The Point productions. Their next project is a short film called Behind Bars. Bhaktiyaar says that it’s fun working with his wife Tanaaz Irani. “Tannaz is a complete woman, super mother, super actor and above all a lovely person. It’s amazing to work with her,” he says.
Ask him how he feels to be on the producing side of the show, and he says, “Being a producer is 10,00,000 times difficult than being an actor.”
Meanwhile, the actor has been part of the TV industry since a long time now and feels that a lot has changed. “There have been tremendous changes. When I started in 2005, there was nothing like WhatsApp, Instagram and now, even if people shit or pee, it's on Instagram. You need to follow these trends or just stay home. So, now even I do the same,” he says.
Hiten defends use of foul language
Contrary to his image of being an epitome of calmness — as seen during the recently-concluded season of Bigg Boss — the actor, who is the captain of his cricket team, was heard hurling abuses and using foul language on BCl. Ask him why he resorted to such language and he says: “I don’t think that in this age and world, there would be someone who never hurls abuses or loses his cool. Having said that, I was only abusing myself, as I was not happy with the way we were performing on the field.”
Considering the fact that Hiten didn’t resort to such behaviour during his stay in the Bigg Boss house, was he asked to abuse in a bid to garner ratings for the showIJ “Not at all. I was not like that on Bigg Boss because it was not required. like I said, I used foul language because I was unhappy with the way things are happening on the show.”
