Though the hope of YUWA, the organisation giving football training to tribal girls, to get ownership of land given for playground and other sports facility at Dahu village of Ormanjhi near Ranchi could not succeed, it has got authority for managing and maintaining the facilities coming over there.
The team on Friday met Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh and it was decided that YUWA would ink an MoU with the State Government on November 12 regarding handing over the authority to it. Modalities such as financing to build the facilities that may be residential in nature would be figured in the agreement, said Neha Baxla, a member of YUWA.
later, Ramesh said also to have discussed the issue with Sport Minister Geetashree Oroan. The team has got their bus, donated by Ramesh, ready after repeated breakdowns. The Pioneer had reported about the poor condition of the bus given to YUWA only in August this year.
