Palamu police have caught two youths on the basis of an FIR lodged by an Income Tax lawyer B B Tiwari saying that he had received extortion calls asking him to cough up one lakh of rupees or his son would bear the brunt of it.
The SP Palamu N K Singh said the police traced the cell phone number. The cell phone which was in the name of a woman. Further investigations revealed that the duo had obtained a SIM which one of the two accused attempted to destroy by chewing it and later bury it. The SP said the police first nabbed Dilip and on his leads Vikas was arrested.
