The first youth fest of Jharkhand “Abhivyakti” concluded on Sunday. The cultural-literary based programme included events depicting the local culture.
Programmes like rock band, fine arts, dance, song, photography, rock band show and fashion shows were presented here wherein around 1700 youngsters from school and colleges of the state participated. Specially abled students of St Michael and Srijan group performed an ‘Action Dance’ on Saturday. State Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs minister Geetashree Oraon, Director Dadan Choubey and Secretary Vandana Dadel gave away the prizes to the winners during the valedictory session today.
The events were organised at Ram Dayal Munda Kala Bhawan, State Museum auditorium and Athletic Warm Up ground. Notably, Oraon has indicated that the state government will soon organize a big youth fest. “This was just a first step to promote state’s culture among the youngsters,” she had said.
