Addressing the workshop Palamu DC Dr. Shantanu Kumar Agrahari said that everyone will be benefited, who keep the moisture in the fields after using rainwater.  For harvesting of rain water TCB has been started at 6 thousand places in Palamu. Out of which 1500 TCBs has been completed.

The DC informed that TCB will prove to be quite positive for geographical position of Palamu.  Common people can also participate in water harvesting by building TCB and Bora Dam. The geographical location degine of Palamu is different.  Due to lack of rainwater harvesting, people are not able to take advantage of rainwater.  Because rain water drains out.  We are being deprived of water for momentary benefit.

It is necessary to harvest one drop of rainwater.  He said that under Jal Shakti Abhiyan, construction work of more than 60 ponds has been started in Palamu. He said that declaring drought is not an option; the administration is working to make everyone self-supporting.  You have to be a partner in the campaign to save water.  With the cooperation of all, the problem of water will be solved.  Wastage water can also be used in agriculture and horticulture etc. Deputy Development Commissioner Bindu Madhav Prasad Singh said that half the population is surrounded by water crisis.

In order to conserve water, such arrangements have to be made that water is allowed to enter the earth.  Water is life.  It is an invaluable gem of the earth.  If water is called the blood of the earth, there will be no exaggeration.  Municipal Commissioner Dinesh Prasad said that all of us have to collect water.  Every family should construct TCB in their farm so that the wasted rainwater can be collected and used.
