Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that work is going on in fast pace to provide employment to the people of Jharkhand. “Three new schemes were launched in MNREGA, while employment generation schemes are being implemented in cities as well. Every citizen of this State should stand on his feet, this is the government's effort. With this, the government has imposed cess on mineral resources, so that the revenue of the government is increased and it can be used in the development of the State and welfare of the people,” he said.
During an interactive session with intellectual people in Dumka during his three-day tour to Santhal Pargana on Monday the CM said that if the government's thinking and intentions are right then no work is impossible. “This is the reason we are moving forward in the direction of building a new Jharkhand. The change in the symbol of Jharkhand is a beginning in this direction. We have decided in which direction to move. An action plan has been prepared for this,” said the CM.
Soren said that the way the State government managed to prevent, curb and treat corona infection with limited resources, it is an example for the whole country. “The efforts made by our government to deal with the Corona crisis, is the result of that the hi-tech labs could be established in Dumka, Hazaribagh and Palamu Medical College. Previously, the investigation for which people of this area had to go to Ranchi or Kolkata is being investigated here. Apart from this, instructions have been given to arrange for the Oximeter and Oxygen Cylinder in all Panchayats for Corona infected. Facilities in the health sector will be expanded rapidly, so that the poor do not have to face financial constraints for treatment,” he added.
The CM said that Jharkhand is a labour-intensive State. The workers here are contributing to the development due to their work in different areas of the country. The workers here have become a wheel of the country's economy. This is the reason that after the unlock is implemented, they are taking the same workers on airplanes by urging them, but sadly, in the lockdown, they left these workers in their situation, but our government brought migrants back by plane and train.
The intellectual people present on the occasion demanded that government should take initiative to open the bench of Jharkhand High Court in Dumka, shortage of officers and employees should be removed from Dumka, steps should be taken to overcome it and arrangements should be made to have specialist doctors in every department, before implementing new education, it should be reviewed keeping in mind the interests of Jharkhand.
