Hazaribagh police produced five women members — including three minors — before the magistrate and juvenile

justice board members here on Saturday. The women Maoists — including Sunita — in their statements revealed the ugly face of the top leaders of banned left wing organisations. All five in their statements openly said that the organisation has become a synonym of sexual

harassment for the women members.

Along with Sunita and lalita, the three minor girls said in their statements before the magistrate and members of juvenile justice board that all area commanders, zonal commanders use to sexually harass them. They also said that women in the organisation are not safe.

The arrested women lalita is married. She is a resident of Galhobar of Vishnugarh block of Hazaribagh district. She said that her husband is also in the Maoist group. He is in Tenughatjail at this time. She had given birth to a child just a few days ago and at the time of her arrest she was taking bed rest as per doctor’s advice in her village. She accepted her role in induction of minor girls in the organisation.

Another arrested women Sunita Ganjhu is the resident of Hethgarha of Bokaro district. She got married in 2000 in the Bishnugarh block.

Due to bad habits of husband she left him and joined the organisation in 2014. She had got bullet injury in an encounter with police on Bihar border and was also under treatment.

Hazaribagh police have registered two cases against the top leaders of CPI (Maoist) under POSCO act and Section 376 on the basis of statements of all arrested women in the court of judicial magistrate. The statement of minors was registered in front of district child protection officer and child welfare

committee. After the medical examinations they had sent to Hazaribagh central jail on Saturday.

SP Akhilesh Jha said that the statements of women members are shameful for the Maoists. They have no principle. Nowadays, their work is to collect the

extortion money and to exploit the women. In his appeal to public he said that everyone should be aware of the false propaganda of the organisation.
