…A woman (name withheld) has urged the SP Palamu Chandan Kumar Sinha to 'hand over' the murder case of her daughter to the CID. The girl was murdered at village Harbhonga on the day of Holi which definitely remains abuzz with human beings under the Chainpur police station. It was such a demand coming from a village woman or mother that surprised the SP most.
The SP asked her to move the High Court to get this case transferred to the CID as being a police officer of the district he can't do this as it is beyond his power.
The mother wanted the CID to investigate as she wanted more people to be booked for the murder of his daughter who was strangulated to death on this Holi festival. She raised her fingers of doubts about the Chainpur police. Her contention was 'Why just single arrest when a 14 year old girl can't be killed by one fellow'.
Chainpur police had booked the prime accused of this murder. The accused is also a relative of the bereaved family and live in vicinity of each other's families.
The SP maintained that police just can't put anyone behind the bars in murder case if evidence just does not call for such.
The mother contested that her 14 year old daughter could not be murdered by just one accused and again at such a place full of human activities and hence her suspicion is that there are more than one person behind the murder of his daughter and the Chainpur police are not taking any pains in getting more persons booked for this murder of her daughter.
Quite convinced with the logic of the mother, the SP agreed to get this murder case re - investigated by the SDPO Rishabha Garg, an IPS officer.
Sources said the Chainpur police led by its officer in charge Uday Kumar Gupta has investigated this murder case professionally arresting the main accused who even narrated how he finished this girl with a rope with which ox etc is tied to the pole in the cattle shed.
Gupta said police did find blood stains on the mud wall against which the nose and face of this girl was pressed till she died. The blood stains were of her bleeding nose or mouth.
Her post mortem report did not have any mention of sexual assault on her.
Police officer Uday Kumar Gupta said a lingering land dispute between the family that lost daughter by way of murder and the other family by way of finding son behind the bars for murdering the girl there is no other motive for the murder.
