A rare incident stalled the proceeding of the Assembly for about half-an-hour on Wednesday when some members sported mufflers displaying their party symbols. First Congress MlA Rajesh Ranjan demanding sub-division at Mahgama wore the gear which prompted BJP member to follow the suit.
The BJP members that included former Speaker CP Singh and former Chief Minister Arjun Munda and others wore the attire and said that when the Speaker did not prevent Rajesh Ranjan from doing so why they should be compelled to do so. “What should I say when senior members of the House are behaving like thisIJ Do what ever you want,” said aggrieved Speaker Shashank Shekhar Bhota. The stalemate and blame game continued stalling the proceeding. later the Speaker read out a ruling that no member in the House would display his or her election symbol in any form.
