SDJM court of Hazaribagh on Tuesday issued arrest warrants against Barkagaon MlA Yogendra Sao, his brother Dheerendra Sao and nephew Pawan Sao for their alleged links and help in establishing the rebel group.
The warrant was issued after Sao did not turn up before the police for investigation on Tuesday also. He had sent a letter to police on Monday seeking a week’s time to appear for interrogation.
But as soon as his nephew Pawan Sao got arrested by the police, he called up the police and said that he will be coming on Tuesday for interrogation. A police team of two DSPs, three inspectors and five OCs was ready with the questionnaire to interrogate Sao at Sadar Police Station but he did not turn up. In the meantime after interrogating Pawan Sao, Hazaribagh Police produced him before the court from where he was sent to jail.
Reacting on the recent development a senior police official said that Sao was regularly saying in media that police has not given time to put his side but Sao was given ample time to prove his points.
