A special voters’ rectification drive will start from September first week here in the Capital City. “All preliminary arrangements have been ensured for rectification. On September 9 and September 23, special camps will be organized to register claims and objections. Also, door to door survey will be conducted for two days to rectify the voters’ lists,” said District Election Officer, Geeta Choubey during the Media Samvad here on Tuesday.
Further the District Election Officer stated that considering the upcoming lok Sabha (lS) and the State Assembly Elections, two more special drives will be conducted in the month of December and January 2019. “With the aim, no voters’ should be left behind; the district administration is committed and will be also organizing series of events to create awareness among the masses during the special drive,” added Choubey.
Meanwhile, during the Media Samvad, land acquisition officer informed that the tender for construction of Ratu Road Flyover has been finalized. “Major progress has been made in acquiring the land for flyover construction. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) is getting ready. If all goes well, within two months, work of flyover construction will begin,” District land Acquisition Officer stated.
