'Vivekananda's path can make our country powerful'

RR Srivastava

There are 70 per cent youths in the total population of our country.

It is a big force but it can be useful for the country if our youth goes on right path. Vivekananda’s ideas and philosophy can show the youth the right path of life and it has the power to bring back those who had deviated from the right track so if we want to make our country powerful then especially youths should have to follow his path, said Swami Shashankananda at a programme organised jointly by the Political Science Department of VBU and the 150th birth anniversary committee of Swami Vivekananda.

Swami Shashankananda said that it was the message of Swami Vivekananda that one should try to know himself first. When we will become successful in recognizing our inner power then nothing will be impossible. It was the explosion of thoughts of Swami Ji which makes the world astonished, he added.

Chief Guest Ex-VC Dr. MP Singh said that it is the need of the hour to rethink about our education policy and why India which was once called golden bird has reached to such condition. He said that it was Swami Ji who had said that a man can be recognized by his works not by his birth and when we will start following it everything will be back on track.

Earlier Dr. MP Singh made a request to the acting Vice Chancellor Commissioner Surendra Singh to arrange atleast 100 acres land for VBU which will make you ever memorable in the history of this university. In his presidential address VC Surendra Singh said that Vivekananda’s message to the youths is to accept challenges positively. Everything is moving and changing so try to cope up with them and on this path the ideas and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda will not only give strength to you but also clear the darkness of the path. He appealed to the youths to be disciplined and to not escape from hard work.

Earlier Dr. BP Singh, HOD Political Science, VBU, welcomed the guests and talked about some less known stories of Swami Vivekananda. The guests and teachers paid floral tributes on the portrait of Swami Ji. Yogendra Sinha of Swami Vivekananda Sardhsati Samaroh gave the introductory speech. Prof. Sukalyan Moitra anchored the program while Dr. M lakra presented vote of thanks.
