World Cup 2012 Kabaddi gold medalist Vindhyavasini Sinha’s mother and sister met Governor on Thursday. The Kabaddi player who was offered recruitment letter for grade 3 job by CM Hemant Soren few months back feels the State Sports Recruitment Policy has been violated.
According to her family members, in other states like Punjab and Maharashtra Olympic, World, Asian games medalists are given grade-2 jobs while Common World Games medalists are given grade 3 jobs. But, in Jharkhand Olympic, Common Wealth and Asian games achievers are given grade 2 job while world achiever is given grade 3 job.
Government should make amendments in the policy, said the Kabaddi player. The family has been protesting near Governor House for past one week. Governor had assured to look over the
matter and take action accordingly.
“We are protesting for past seven days. All the government authorities have turned deaf to our woes,” said a member of her family.
