The Vinoba Bhave University would regularise the daily wage workers working in the university at grade four and grade three posts since 1992. A decision was taken at the VBU Syndicate meeting Chaired by Prof Ramesh Sharan here on Wednesday. Those who will apply for the regularisation will be appointed by the university as per appointment rules framed by the Government.
In the marathon meeting of the Syndicate, which concluded late in the evening the members discussed on various issues included in the agenda and took important decisions.
In this meeting, the syndicate members discussed in detail the issue of all daily wagers serving this university since its establishment i.e. 1992.
During last 25 years, their matter was raised and discussed at different forums including the syndicate, senate etc. but no concrete decision was taken.
The members also decided to send the matter of absorption of all those daily wagers who will not opt fourth grade post in third grade to the Jharkhand Government for consideration because appointment on third grade posts can be made only with the approval of Government.
