These days evaluation of answer-sheets of degree part-I exam is going on at VBU. With the begining of evaluation works, there are speculations that this time the examination department is going to send some answer books to other universities for evaluation. On Sunday The Pioneer talked to the examination controller of VBU AM Siddique on the same.
Siddique admitted that some answer books has been sent to other universities. He said that since this year a record number of examinees have appeared in degree-I exam so in the meeting of examination board in which Ex-VC and Ex-PVC too were present, the decision of sending answer-sheets to other universities was taken.
On being asked that previously the academic council had decided that answer books of even degree III will not go outside now, then why did he took action on board’s decision.
Siddique first denied about any such decision of academic council but soon admitted that academic council has taken this decision. He added that the decision was for degree III only but to give result in short span answer-books of degree III were also sent to other universities.
While clarifying his position the examination controller said that this year there were 85,000 answer books of MIl, had the answer books not been sent to other universities, it would have taken more than two-and-a-half months evaluating them here.
Some HODs of the university seemed unaware of the fact. When asked that whether present VC Kulkarni was aware of itIJ, The exam controller tried to skip by saying that in the meeting Ex-VC and PVC were present.
