On Thursday noon, some unpleasant incident took place on the Vinoba Bhave University campus. The V-C and other officials said that the agitators and their supporters manhandled with them and damaged the property of the university while the agitating BEd students said that the VBU administration is trying to fail their agitation by hook or crook.

As per our sources in the noon some outsiders, whom the VBU administration claims to be the sympathisers of agitators entered into the science block and tried to disrupt the classes. During it they misbehaved with the teachers and students. When they opposed them, they started damaging the properties.

later in a hurriedly called Press conference, V-C Prof Gurdeep Singh said that though the demand of the agitators is wrong but they have decided to publish their result before September 22. “Yesterday, I had informed the agitators about this decision and they have assured me to call off their agitation today. Today when I was going to Ranchi to attend the meeting, I received the phone from registrar of the university that the agitators has locked the administrative building and are disturbing the classes. I returned back to headquarters. Police was called and then situation came under control,” he said.

On the other hand, the agitators, who are still continuing their agitation said that what happened on Thursday, it was all VBU administrations sponsored drama. “The V-C is saying that he will publish the result before September 22 because the high court has ordered them to answer some questions which will reveal their false play in our case,” said an agitator.

They alleged that those who disrupted the classes and damaged properties are not with them. “The VBU administration and police administration worked in connivance and our four associates who were sitting with us were taken into custody without cause,” he said.
