Hazaribagh police produced two persons, Shambhu Nath Tiwary and Vishal Singh, before the court in the shootout case in which gangster Sushil Srivastava and two others were killed on June 2. They were sent to jail by the court for their alleged involvement in the conspiracy of murder in court campus shootout case.
Hazaribagh and Ramgarh police have taken about a dozen persons in custody in connection with this case but after examining everyone, all were released except these two. Shambhu Nath Tiwary is the father of Vikash Tiwary, who has taken the responsibility of this murder and shootout by leaving a chit in the Bolero and by calling some pressmen of Hazaribagh and Ramgarh districts.
Shambhu Nath Tiwary is a resident of Patratu block of Ramgarh district and according to police sources, during examination and cross-examination of the suspects, it was found that he had arranged a meeting of members of Bhola Pandey gang in Patratu village a fortnight ago on the agenda of taking revenge of Kishore Pandey’s murder.
Vishal Singh is a resident of Dawdinagar, Aurangabad, Bihar. He was taken in custody from Bhurkunda on June 3 and the call details of his mobile confirmed that he was in regular touch with the prime accused Vikash Tiwary especially from June 1 till the evening of June 2. Previously, it was in talks that Vishal is the brother Vikash Tiwary, but the name given in court by police confirms that it is not so.
From the late evening of June 4 till the noon of June 5, rumours were widespread in Hazaribagh that prime accused of Sushil Srivastava murder case, Vikash Tiwary, has surrendered before Ranchi police due to increasing pressure of police force and has been brought to Hazaribagh. Hazaribagh police is interrogating him at a secret place. The sources of The Pioneer confirmed that it is just a rumor, Vikash Tiwary is still absconding.
On the other hand, Jail IG Shailendra Bhushan visited JP Central Jail and took a close look of the wards and other arrangements of the jail. In his meeting with jail officials, he directed the local authorities to depute extra policemen in the wards where members of both groups have been kept. He also directed the officials to contact AC Il Company to change the 2G with 3G jammers. He gave timeframe to complete this job.
In JP Central Jail, shooters of Srivastava gang Amrendra Tiwary, Riyaz Ansari and some others have been kept in a ward while Rahul Pandey and five other members of Bhola Pandey gang are in another ward. IG Jail gave clear cut instruction to the jail authority that in no case, the members of both gangs should come face to face anytime inside the jail. He also enquired about some other famous names of crime world like Surendra Bengali and others.
