A father and son duo were killed and five other including three women received burns in Giridih district as a lighting struck at Ramusharan village on Wednesday evening. According to reports, at around 5 pm 35-year-old Ritlal Prasad Verma and his son Umashankar Verma (18), brother Ramjee Verma (28), wife Prabha Devi (27) and two other Rohit Kumar and Sunaina Devi were working in the field when the tragedy happened.
Police sources all of them came under influence of lightening as rain suddenly started. Two died on the spot and five including three women were seriously injured and are under going treatment in different hospitals in Giridih. Police handed over the bodies to their family member after postmortem . Sending shock waves among the villagers of Ramusharan village.
