The court on Tuesday sentenced truck driver, lal Bhadur Singh and helper Vijay Chauhan, to life imprisonment as they were convicted of rape and murder of a village woman in the winter night of December 26, 2010.
The First Additional District Judge Satyaprakash Sinha convicted them and announced life imprisonment. The judge also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them. If the convicts fail to pay the fine, they will have to serve one year additional rigorous imprisonment. Besides, the convicts were also sentenced to seven years rigorous imprisonment.
