PNS

As expected, State BJP president Ravindra Rai on Friday declared the name of Tunnu Gope as the new district president of BJP for Hazaribagh. His name had been in talks for the past six months.

Gope, grandson of famous social worker of Hazaribagh Panchu Gope, started his political career as a worker of the Congress but very soon, he joined the BJP. He strengthened his position, proving himself to be a good worker and a loyalist of senior leader Yashwant Sinha.

BJP workers Anjali Kumari, Gyan Prakash, Surendra Gupta, Anupam Sinha, Ashok Yadav, BP Rukhaiyar and many more have welcomed this announcement and have congratulated the new district BJP president.

Heart ailments are the biggest killers in India, but a simple remedy can easily prevent them. Forty minutes of brisk walking will keep everyone fit and healthy.

Padma Shree awardee Dr Ashok Seth firmly believes in this easy solution.  The Escorts Heart Hospital, Delhi director of cardiac science and immediate past-president of the Cardiological Society of India advises everyone to follow this regime.

lifestyle modification with regular exercise for at least 40 minutes a day (with five minutes warm up and five minutes cooling down), five days in a week, is important for prevention of heart disease, he said.

Elaborating treatment and prevention, Seth emphasised on the significance of exercise in human life and urges the masses to make it mandatory in their routine.

Talking to the media, Dr Seth said: Heart disease emerged as a number one killer disease in both rural and urban areas on our country. Heart diseases account for about 50 percent of all deaths in India.

A large percentage of these heart attacks are attributed to smoking and junk food, he said. Besides poor eating habits, a sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise triggers heart diseases.

The age of getting heart attacks has fallen from 40 to 30 in the past 10 years, he said. “Not youths but also females are in its grip. Even working professionals who adopted the ways of the modern lifestyle are in the grip of such heart diseases”, he added.

Dr Seth, globally known for introducing pioneering techniques in curing heart ailments and for his invaluable contribution and achievements in the field of medicine rushed to Bokaro to participate in the two days Annual Conference of the Cardiological Society of India, Jharkhand chapter (JACSICON-2013).

In the conference Dr Seth highlights on the advance techniques of Angioplasty and Angiography which are under trails in India.

“The recent breakthroughs in the treatment of heart disease are Drug Eluting Stents (medicated) which constantly release drugs and clear the blockages and prevent new blockages from developing in the coronary arteries”, he said.

Another advance technique is the replacement of the aortic valve without the need of surgery in an angioplasty like procedure done in the cath lab. “The valves can now be changed this way especially in high risk patients”, added Dr Seth.
