On the confessional statement of Deepak Yadav alias Karu Yadav, Hazaribagh police recovered huge quantities of arms and ammunition from Bagchoma jungle of Keradari block of Hazaribagh district. Police also arrested sub zonal commander of TPC (Tritiya Prastuti Committee) after an encounter between security forces and TPC members.
Hazaribagh Superintendent of Police Manoj Ratan Chauthe said in a press meet on Friday that the arrested Maoist regional commander Deepak yadav gave the information that huge quantity of arms and ammunition has been kept in the Bagchoma forests. A special team arrived at the said forests and recovered two 5.6 mm Insas rifle, 5.56 mm insas rifle magazine (4), 5.56 mm live cartridges (200), country made carbine (1), country made carbine magazine (1), 9 mm pistol (1), 9 mm pistol magazine (1), pouch to keep the cartridges (2).
The special team was headed by Assistant Commandant of 22 Bn CRPF, Durgesh Kumar and Inspector Shyam Chandar Singh, Sadhan Chand Gorai, Uttam Tiwary, Bajrang Mahto, Anand Azad as team members.
The SP further stated that a team of district police and CRPF has arrested sub zonal commander of TPC Arjun Kamali on Friday morning. He is accused of 20 cases in the district and outside the district. Police fired five rounds during the encounter between police and TPC.
