A ‘Tiranga Yatra’ was organised here in Ranchi on Saturday by Jharkhand BJP lead by Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Faggan Singh Kulaste.

“Poverty could be removed by organising development movements in the State as the poor people too have the right to live with dignity,” said the CM. Our rich culture has been tried to make weaker by the divide and rule policy adopted by some people, he added.

“Time is ripe that we identify their devious tricks who do not want the lights of development reach up to the last person sitting in the social strata,” he said.

“Since I have taken over the reigns only for social service; helping the poor farmers and downtrodden people is my prime motive,” said the CM.

Speaking on Tiranga Yatra, CM said that nationalism will reach out to the people with this Yatra. Thorough this Yatra, we will also remember those martyrs whose names could not be registered on the pages of History due to some reasons.

“The Government thorough this programme is also reaching out to the villages of the martyrs and making plans to bring in development there,” said the CM. Das added that Government intends to provide employment to the people of all age group according to their caliber.

An arrangement is also being made to provide vocational training to school dropouts at Panchayat level so that they can get employment, he said.

“We should take a pledge at this occasion that lights of development will be brought to the last person of the villages. We should work together as a Jharkhandi so the development could also be brought in the State along with the Country,” said the CM.

Kulaste while addressing the gathering said that it is our duty to remember even those martyrs whose sacrifices could not be recognised during the freedom struggle.

Earlier, Chief Minister and the Union Minister garlanded the statue of Albert Ekka. The programme was also attended by Ranchi MP Ram Tahal Chaudhary, MlA Gangotri Kujoor, Ranchi Mayor Asha lakra and other party leaders.

It started from Birsa Munda Airport and ended at Zila School where Kulaste along with other leaders addressed the gathering. A week-long “Tiranga Yatra” to evoke nationalism and patriotism is being undertaken across the nation at the occasion of 70th Independence Day under the programme–‘70 Saal Azaadi, Yaad Karo Kurbani.’
