Three youth belonging to Jaridih bazaar drown in well near Godavari temple under the Gandhi near police station here on Thursday morning. Police said one of them identified as Abdul (30) decided to take water from the well and slipped into the well and other two drowned trying to rescue him .
Police managed to recovered all bodies from the well while the relatives of the deceased and local residents prevented traffic from plying smoothly on the road and gathered in protest against CCl and local administration, sources said.
The incident occurred in the morning at around 10 am when the one deceased identified only by his first name Abdul had gone to the well to take water from well but unfortunately he slipped and lost balance and fell unto the well. According to eyewitness Abdul did not know how to swim and cried out for help. Abdul drowned before the eyes of his friends ,Jaikki and Rooky jumped into rescue him but all three drowned, a police officer said. later all three bodies have been sent for postmortem at Tenughat .
In yet other mishap a 27 year old youth identified as Md Tohid Ansari was killed on the spot and his friend Riyasat Ansari of Narayanpur village, got seriously injured when their bike was hit by a speeding Scorpio near Pilpillo more on Bokaro Thermal-Kurpania road under the Bokaro thermal police station here on Thursday morning .Officer-in charge cum Inspector Rajesh Kujur informed “the incident took place when two youths were coming power plant from their house .As they were negotiating a turn at Pilpillo ,a Scorpio collided with their bike
