Think of starting own venture before opting for job: Bajaj

PNS

PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHD CCI), Jharkhand, Chairman Pawan Bajaj said that the youths of this country should make at least one attempt on starting their own ventures before going for job after completing their studies. Expressing his views while speaking at a seminar on “Entrepreneurship Development – Motivating Youth towards Self Employment Ventures” organisned by PHD CCI, Bajaj also appealed that one must stand in attention position while singing the national anthem.

“After completing our studies, in spite of running after jobs for ourselves, if we start thinking of starting our own ventures, I think a drastic change could be brought in this society,” said Bajaj. The motive must be giving employment to others rather than becoming employee to others, he added.

He further said that there was definitely a risk in starting a new venture, but if a person by using his wisdom starts his own work taking risk at once, there is no looking back.

“Everyone is running after government and private jobs…Now it is high time to ponder and think about it seriously…….before going for jobs one should at least give it a try at once and then he is free to go for a job,” said Bajaj. If every youth starts thinking on this line, a drastic change could be brought in this Country, he said.

XlRI Professor Prabal K Sen, appreciating Bajaj’s approach said that there was definitely a shortage of entrepreneurs in this Country. “The Country is rich but the people are poor as there are less number of people who can make use of these resources,” said Professor Sen. He also gave examples of some of his students – Saumitra Verma, Rajiv Kumar, Amit Jaiswal, Alok Tiwari and Dr Zafar Alam who have done commendable jobs in the field of entrepreneurship by starting a venture of their own in a very short period of time through their dedication and perseverance.

“With the increase in the production of goods and services, GDP of this Country will increase…. which could be done only by entrepreneurs only,” said the Professor.

Sen said that the root cause of increasing prices is demand of any product exceeds its supply. “If you want to control inflation, you will have to increase the supply which could only be done through entrepreneurship. Social justice also gets promoted through entrepreneurship as more and more people get employment out of it, he said.

Only those people can become an entrepreneur….. who has the passion to do something….. who has the fire in the belly and have the risk taking attitude, said the Professor.

later Advisor of Economics and Environment for the Government of Jharkhand Kallol Saha taught theoretical and practical aspects of Entrepreneurship to the students coming from various colleges.

Owner of Global Developers Firoz Khan, Owner of libra Scale Industry Ramchandra Kumar, Alok Tiwari, Saumitra Verma and Rajiv Kumar also shared their experiences of entrepreneurship with the audience.
