The tension is brewing at Surhi village in Nawadih block as even after two days the culprit who had raped a 19-year-old tribal girl is still at large.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when the victim went to the nearby fields for collecting weeds for animals along with others girls .While the Jasinta was busy collecting the weeds, suddenly Sartaz Ansari son of Sirazuddin Ansari entered into a nearby area where she was caught by him and raped her in a lonely spot.
The girl shouted for help and after hearing the cries of Jasinta the other girls run towards their village in fear.
In the evening the parents got worried and asked the others girls accompanying her about their daughter. The girls explained the whole incident to the villagers and immediately all of them went to the culprit house to search him.
Confirming the incident ,officer-in charge Anand Kumar Jha said raids are on to nab the culprit .The girl has been sent to BGH, Bokaro for medical examination to confirm the rape and the age of the victim, Officer-in charge added.
