A meeting of Jharkhand primary Teachers committee was organised with the head of President Md Ayub Khalifa at Govt middle school. The State president Shyam Narayan Singh was also present in the meeting.
Singh said in the meeting, “Education is the basic right of a person. But the required student and teacher ratio is 30:1 whereas 80 lakhs students are studying at this time. So 2 lakh and 50 thousands teachers are required. The schools are being run on the shoulders of Para teachers. The number of TET pass candidates is 50 thousands. The committee demands to recruit them directly. So that the level of education can be improved. Govt had shown the fitment table of sixth pay commission for upgraded emolument, but that has been taken back. This is cheating with the teachers. They had told to give `40 to the cooks per day that is exploitation of labor rules.”
Chief Secretary Kishor Kumar Verma said, “Dept is not paying attention towards the problems of the teachers. The teachers more than 55 years are sent to the far rural areas like Peshrar block, whereas the teachers having contacts are deputed to the schools according to their own will.”
“After decision of keeping the teachers apart from non teaching works, they are kept involved in MDM rice purchasing, books purchasing, stipend work, clothes distribution, BlO work, building construction and others. They have to submit the reports to the strict head office. The promotion is also being done in unauthentic way. So the govt has to lose its revenue,” he concluded.
The programme was directed by Ganesh lal and the thanks speech was delivered by MD Ayub Khalifa.
In the meeting Veerendra Kumar Singh, Ravindra Tiwary, Sarfuddin Ansari, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Ashok Kumar Raut, Rashmi Khes, Rejamat Ansari and many others were present.
