TV Narendran, CEO & managing director, Tata Steel, took his first shot of Covid-19 vaccine at TMH today along with his spouse Ruchi Narendran.
To contain Covid-19 pandemic, the Government of India started the Covid Vaccination programme in January 2021. To streamline the Covid Vaccination, Tata Main Hospital started the Online Slot Booking facility for Covid Vaccination through the TMH Vishwas portal or App. Vaccination is being made available to those eligible as per the existing guidelines of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. As per government guidelines, all people above 45 years, irrespective of the comorbidities, are eligible for vaccination from April 1. Advance appointments can be booked through cowin.gov.in.
Praising the process of vaccination, Narendran said, “I am happy to get the first dose of Covid vaccine today. It is a simple and painless process. As the Covid-19 cases in India are rising, I urge everyone to come forward and take the vaccine to protect themselves and their families. With this small step, we can control the spread of Covid-19.”
“Even after vaccination, one must continue to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour including wearing of mask, hand sanitisation, social distancing and avoid crowded places”, he added. Following suit was the leadership team of Tata Steel who also took their first dose of vaccine.
