The camp benefited 172 contract workers who stay in and around the plant. In addition to free doctor’s consultation and free medication, the attendee workers were also made aware about the possible health concerns due to the onset of monsoon, and the various ways to counter them. The Campwas especially beneficial to the women work-force who received thorough check-ups, and medical advice from the lady doctors present there.

Speaking on the initiative, DS Kudalkar, head-Jojobera station, said, “This initiative is yet another example of our endeavour to play a meaningful role in the betterment of community, and raise awareness about the lifestyle-related diseases amongst the workers. At Tata Power, we believe that the health of our workers is a top priority, and through such camps, we aim to enable our workers lead a better and healthy life.”

Tata Power firmly believes in improving the quality of life of its stakeholders, and, therefore, organises these health camps with the objective to provide good healthcare facilities, and sound medical advice to its workers. These medical camps, which have been running quarterly for the last 2 years, have benefited thousands of Tata Power workers who often neglect their health due to paucity of time and money.
