Tata Power, under its joint venture Maithon Power limited organised an Umbrella Distribution programme for 72 workers & supervisors who are attached with Green Belt Development Project under Siddhu Kanhu Alpasankhyak Vikas Samitee (SKAVS).
Understanding the hardships of the employees who put in long hours in the open fields during summer months, the Environment team at MPl decided to equip them with Umbrella and Sheds across different areas of the project.
Speaking on the occasion, K Chandrashekhar, CEO, Maithon Power ltd., said, “Employee welfare and their well-being is of utmost importance to us at Maithon. It is indeed commendable to see the hard work put in by Tata Power employees under tough weather conditions. It is heartening to see them appreciate our little gesture towards their well-being. Our endeavor is to continuously implement such welfare measures around our project site so that not only our plant but our important stakeholders also benefit.
