Suspensions to hamper work at BAU: Geetashree

PNS

Human Resource Minister Geetashree Oraon on Sunday expressed reservations about removal of as many as 53 Grade-3 and Grade-4 employees of Birsa Agriculture University. Nevertheless, the decision has been taken based on the recommendations of a judicial inquiry set up by the Jharkhand Governor under the Chairmanship of a retired judge of Jharkhand High Court, Justice Vikramaditya Prasad.  Oraon said removal of so many employees would affect the functioning of the BAU. While Oraon’s statement could stir up hornet’s nest as disgruntled employees of BAU shared the stand taken by the HRD Minister.

“This will definitely hamper work at BAU,” said suspended Field Overseer at BAU, Rajendra Munda. The employees are planning to move court to seek respite from the decision and also pressurize the University to pay salary and other dues.
