Even after three days of suspension from the party, senior BJP leader Seema Sharma is yet to receive a formal show cause notice from the party president for her alleged misconduct during the one-day regional meeting held at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) auditorium here on Sunday.

Sharma was suspended through a letter issued by party vice president Deepak Prakash on Sunday itself, stating that the party had taken her conduct during the regional meeting seriously and hence suspends for an indefinite period. She, however, said that she was, she is and will remain in the party.

“I have not yet received any sort of notice from the party president; neither have I been intimated about the decision taken by him by any other medium. When I tried to call him, his mobile phone was found switched off,” said Sharma. She said that she came to know about her suspension only through newspaper reports, she added.

“This is against rules…..what charge they will impose on meIJ I did not say anything against the party. I only said that some of the party workers want to say something…had the party president allowed us to speak, it would have been fine,” said Sharma. The question was from the party president, not from the Chief Minister, she added.

When asked about her next course of action, Sharma said let her receive the notice first, only then she will be able to speak something in this regard but in the mean time, cleared one thing that she will ever remain in the party.

“One thing is clear that I was, I am and will ever remain in the BJP,” she said.

Sharma has been an office bearer of the party and had unsuccessfully contested last Assembly election on BJP ticket from Hatia constituency. The party had also suspended another leader Ravindra Tiwari of Palamu for anti-party posts on the social media.
