Bharatiya Suraj Manch, a social organisation working for transparency in political life, formed Bharatiya Suraaj Dal, a new political outfit on Monday. Former IPS officer PK Siddharth is the president of the party while general secretary is Kamlesh Kumar Gupta. Former Director General of Police Bl Vohra has been made its treasurer.

An official Press release from the president also talked about its agenda. “Apart from making the administration smart and people-friendly, attempting political, electoral and administrative reforms, controlling corruption and reforming education, the party’s flagship program will be pulling everybody in the State out of the poverty zone within a period of three to five years, who is serious about renounce poverty,” read the communiqué.

The party would later release a blueprint of the programme of action for poverty removal using a documentary film on the subject after the registration of the party by the Election Commission. It will be shown in every district by holding a press conference to inspire confidence and credibility among the intelligentsia and the people at large.

Siddharth had taken voluntary retirement from IPS in 2010 after serving in districts such as Dumka and Palamau and still recalled for good works. Kamlesh Kumar Gupta has been in social service for about a decade. The party also invited participation of all honest, capable and committed citizens as members and as candidates for forthcoming elections in Jharkhand and Bihar. “The aspiring candidates can send applications directly to the central leadership or through any member of the ‘Peoples Jury’ constituted by Bharatiya Suraaj Manch in various districts of Jharkhand,” said PK Siddharth.
