Christians of Ranchi celebrated Easter with full of joys and happiness. Thousands of men, women, and children of Christian community assembled at ST. Paul’s, ST. Mary, and GEl church premises for Easter celebration.
Churches were decorated with white lilies flowers, white bells and white curtains, they offered prayers, lit candles in front of Jesus statue, sung songs and danced merry making and celebration atmosphere was seen outside these Churches.
Father JP Pinto, Rector of St. Albert college, said, “Easter is celebrated as a day of happiness because it is said that on Easter Jesus came back to life which symbolises life is not the end of everything so every human being should lead their life in the path of goodness though how much difficulties comes in way”.
Dayamani Barla, social activist, said, “For me everyday is like Easter. I do not celebrate a single day as a festival as Father preaches that it is day in which truth won against corruption, I live my life with this message everyday.” She further added that she remembered her mother on this day in her prayers as she always motivated and inspired her to fight for truth and work for the goodwill of the society.
